Gagging on a 9.5
While most of you were enjoying one extra hour of sleep last night... I was suffering for 60 more minutes than normal while working this god-for-saken Night Audit shift! It had somehow completely slipped my mind that today was daylight savings... that is, until I arrived at work and read an email from my boss, which reminded me that I would be *gag* working a 9.5 hour shift rather than my already painful 8 and a half. To ease the pain of the added hour of work and to celebrate it being my last shift ever, I certainly did treat myself to the "Romance Package" champagne and soaked my sorrows away in a steamy bublebath while watching the Much Music Countdown!
That'll Teach 'Em !

my emoticon
Nic, the emoticon that represents you best is the Devil Face (6)
You little rascal. OK, so maybe trouble isn't your middle name, but we suspect you can be a bit mischievous at times. You're a playful person who enjoys stirring up a little trouble where you can. Don't worry, we won't tell. But we will tell you this: Playing pranks, testing people's naïveté, and fudging the truth a little can be fun. So can finding out the latest gossip — as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. But you knew that. So log on and keep making life more interesting. Your friends appreciate the entertainment, just be sure not to take it too far, troublemaker!

my OC crush
Nic, your OC crush is Marissa
While she's not exactly the girl next door, she sure is a hottie. And you heard it here first: You and Marissa are a match made in OC heaven. Like your feisty and fiery crush, you've probably got a bit of a wild streak that sets you apart from the rest of snooty Newport Beach or anywhere else you happen to hang. An independent spirit, you're not one to follow in the steps of the herd. No m'am. You do your own thing and listen to your instincts. Lucky for you, they're usually spot on. And that's what makes you such an awesome addition to the OC or any scene. So, keep staying true to yourself. You're sure to be a star.
Aww... I was hoping for Seth !

NOG !
Today I was grocery shopping with my friend Sarah at Safeway... she was looking for soy-yogurt for smoothies that she was going to make later on. I was trying to help her find some, when all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I spied a familiar looking carton sitting on the shelf to my left... Quicker than I could turn my head to take a closer look, my brain had processed what I had seen in my peripheral vision and without warning I dropped our basket of groceries and screamed out loud: "OH MY GOD THEY'VE GOT NOG". Overwhelmed with the sight of its mouth-watering appearance… I, in one swift motion, clutched the carton off the shelf, ripped it open and without delay began chugging its rich creamy goodness like the animal I am. A few seconds later, with streams of nog pouring down my chin and onto my shirt, I came back to reality and noticed a particular look of horror on Sarah's face. Her jaw hung low and her eyes were fixed on me as if she had just witnessed a terrifying circus act. I was also able to make out the faces of a few older ladies further down the aisle who shared Sarah’s same disgusted look. I don't think anyone, not even the Goth dressed girl at the check-out counter, could have properly prepared themselves for the awesome display of gluttony that I acted out in the dairy aisle today!
True Story !
Happy Belated !?!

Bingo
The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, is a popular Thursday night hangout for locals in Banff. Why? It's bingo night! Every Thursday at 7:45pm Branch 26 fills up to the rafters with people of all ages, mostly youngsters, all eager to win a weeks worth of drinking money. I myself have attended scores of times and have a net winning of $165. Bingo cards sell for $1 each, but prices drop as low as 5 for $1 as the night evolves. Exactly how much is at stake? Each week the jackpot prize is set at $1,000 however in order to win; you must shout "BINGO!" within a pre-determined number of balls called. If the jackpot is not won, the prize carries over to the following week, adding 1 extra number being called. Only once in my 4 months of attendance have I witnessed the Jackpot won. It was a very exciting evening in Banff.
Lingo
In Banff when you hear tell that the "warden" is rounding up the "animals", don't expect to catch a glimpse of a Park Ranger riding on horseback with a lasso, but rather a cop patrolling the streets for drunk tourists. I only know this because I witnessed the "wardens" in full action last night during my shift at the hotel. Rather amusing actually... the "animals" put up quite a good chase every so often ;)
